IBK Industriebedarf GmbH, a rapidly expanding high-tech company

 

IBK GmbH has its headquarters in Karben, near Frankfurt am Main. Together with our partner enterprise ELMOTEC-STATOMAT GmbH and its subsidiaries, we form a world-wide sales and distribution network.

 

Within a period of just a few years, IBK GmbH, a manufacturer of drying ovens, air circulation drying ovens, vacuum drying ovens, sterilizers and special drying and tempering units with or without explosion proof (ATEX, 94/9/EC, VDE 0166, EN 1539), whose partner, ELMOTEC STATOMAT GmbH, is a manufacturer of machines and systems for the production of electric motors and customised cables, has become a high-tech firm with a total of 160 employees.

 

We hold a strong market share, and world-wide exports account for about 80 per cent of our total sales.

 

Highly qualified engineering designers, systems architects and electronics specialists stand behind a product program featuring semi-automatic and fully automatic process controls.

Our clientele encompasses not only small and medium-sized companies but major German and international corporate groups as well, including AXIVA, BASF, BAYER, BOSCH, CIBA GEIGY, ELECTRABEL, ELECTROLUX, INFRASERV, KÄRCHER, NICO PHYROTECHNIK, RHEINMETALL, RHONE-POULANCE, SANDOZ, SCHERING, SCHOTT, SIEMENS and ZEISS SMT, to name just a few examples.

 

We at IBK consistently pursue innovative approaches in thinking and action in order to ensure continued competitiveness and a flexible response to market opportunities. Our corporate strategy is based upon the elimination of excess ballast, rationalisation, quality optimisation, lean production and close customer contact.

 

Unlike many manufacturers today, we do not produce abroad in countries where labour is cheap but continue to rely instead upon local suppliers. All mechanical parts are produced within 50 km of our corporate headquarters, and thus we contribute to job security at small local manufacturing firms. Close personal contact with suppliers helps ensure that potential problems are detected and solved practically before they arise.
